The Gift House is a faith-based residence serving women overcoming substance use disorder — offering safe housing, peer support, spiritual guidance, and evidence-informed recovery practices.

KYARR Certified The Gift House is certified by the Kentucky Association of Recovery Residences (KYARR) — the only certified women's recovery residence in Breckinridge County. KYARR certification means our home meets rigorous standards for safety, ethics, and quality of care.

What to Expect

Weekly Rent

$125 / week

We work with each woman on an affordable payment plan. Resources are available to assist financially if needed. We are a self-pay program and do not take insurance.

Average Stay

9–12 months

Healing isn't rushed here. You'll grow at your own pace with support every step of the way.

Aftercare Program

Up to 18 months

Ongoing accountability and support while you transition to your own place — up to 18 months after graduating. Many of our graduates even become mentors to new residents.

Our program is supported through resident program fees, community donors, church partnerships, and fundraising events. We rely on monthly mission partners, one-time donors, and practical donations. All contributions are tax deductible.

Do you take insurance?

No — we're a self-pay program. We work with each woman on an affordable payment plan using a weekly rent system, and resources are available to assist financially if needed. Weekly rent is $125 a week.

How long is the program?

Our average stay is 9–12 months, but healing isn't rushed here. You'll grow at your own pace with support every step of the way. We also offer an Aftercare Program with ongoing accountability and support for up to 18 months after graduating. Many of our graduates even become mentors to new residents.
